Jeffrey J. McCaig is Chairman of Trimac Transportation Group, one of North America’s leading providers of bulk trucking and logistics services. He joined Trimac in 1983, became President in 1990, and served as Chief Executive Officer from 1994 until 2015. Under his leadership, Trimac expanded significantly across the continent, earning a strong reputation for safety, operational excellence, and reliability.

Before his tenure at Trimac, Mr. McCaig practiced corporate finance and securities law in Calgary and remains a member of the Law Society of Alberta. He holds a Bachelor of Arts in Economics from Harvard University, a law degree from Osgoode Hall Law School, and a Master of Science in Management from Stanford University.

In addition to his role at Trimac, he is Chair and Partner of Bantrel Co., and serves on the boards of MEG Energy, Sagard Wealth, and several private companies. Jeff is also co-owner of the Calgary Flames Hockey Club and chairs the Flames Foundation for Life, supporting community and charitable initiatives across Alberta.

He resides in Calgary, Alberta with his wife, and they have three grown children, and more recently, grandchildren. All three of his adult children have followed in his footsteps, establishing successful careers in business and contributing to the family’s enterprise.
